KNIGHTHAWKS TO PASS ALONG HOLIDAY CHEER
11/19/2012 - 9:15am

(November 19, 2012)… The Blue Cross Arena will have a holiday feeling on Saturday, December 8th, when the Rochester Knighthawks host the Minnesota Swarm in a National Lacrosse League preseason game. Santa Claus and the United States Marine Corps will help the Knighthawks celebrate the holidays at their downtown arena.

The defending NLL champion Knighthawks will kick off their preseason schedule at 8:00 p.m. against the Swarm. FREE Tickets are available online at Knighthawks.com. Fans must have a ticket to enter the game. Before the during the game, kids can meet Santa to make last-minute gift requests prior to his big night delivering gifts to all the good girls and boys.

Fans can also drop off a new, unwrapped toy to United States Marine Corps’ “Toys for Tots” drive. The Knighthawks have again partnered with the United States Marine Corps in an effort to provide Christmas gifts to the needy children of the Greater Rochester Area and the surrounding communities.

“Come help the Marines help the underprivileged kids of Rochester by supporting the Rochester ‘Toys for Tots’ campaign,” said Sgt. Scott Brock, local coordinator for the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots.

“We are happy to partner with the USMC ‘Toys for Tots’ program to help kids in need during the holidays,” added Knighthawks President Lewis Staats. “We appreciate all the US Armed Forces and what they do to for us. We are especially proud of the generosity of our Knighthawks fans who are really the ones that make events like this one a success.”

The Knighthawks will play their home opener on Saturday, January 19th against the rival Buffalo Bandits at 7:30 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena. Season tickets are currently on sale at the Knighthawks Office and can be purchased by calling (585) 454-HAWK (4295).
