KNIGHTHAWKS IN THE NEWS

As members of the 2013 NLL Champion Rochester Knighthawks team play in their respective summer leagues across North America, we will recognize three players each week based on their stellar performances.  Players from Major Series Lacrosse, Major League Lacrosse, Ontario Junior A Lacrosse, and the Western Lacrosse Association will be represented. This week, Johnny Powless recevied the "First Star" award after recording 12 points (2+10) in just two games for the Six Nations Arrows.
 
Below are your Knighthawks three stars of the week:
 
FIRST STAR – Johnny Powless, Six Nations Arrows
2 goals, 10 assists in two games
 
In a 14-9 win against the Peterborough Lakers, Powless recorded a game-high eight points (1+7) on June 14th. Two days later at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena, the Arrows beat the St. Catharines Athletics 12-3 and Powless had a four-point performance (1+3).
 
SECOND STAR – Cody Jamieson, Six Nations Chiefs
5 goals, 3 assists in two games
 
On June 11th, Jamieson recorded five points (2+3) to help the Chiefs beat the Kitchener-Waterloo Kodiaks.  In a battle for first place in the MSL, he put up a hat trick in a game that resulted in a 9-9 tie against the Brooklin Redmen on June 13th. 
 
THIRD STAR – Dan Dawson, Brampton Excelsiors
1 goal, 3 assists
 
The Brampton Excelsiors were victorious against the Kitchener-Waterloo Kodiaks on June 13th and Dan Dawson led the team with three assists in a four-point performance (1+3).
 
Here is the latest news on your Rochester Knighthawks players from around the world.  Members of the 2013 NLL World Championship team are on the move this summer, playing for various leagues including Major Series Lacrosse, Major League Lacrosse, Ontario Junior A Lacrosse, and the Western Lacrosse Association.
